Plague Journal, More Haute Couture
The French term means “high sewing” or high fashion as the term is typically used. It is no disservice to the language, or to our intention of meaning to note there’s nothing more elegant than than bloom, shade of color, elegance of form as offered by Nature in the springtime. My thought was to present a few more photo’s of springtime finery, captured just yesterday. I strolled around the yard, camera in hand desiring to appreciate what was offered, as the camera lens might see it. Wikipedia has this to say about haute couture.
Haute translates literally to “high”. An haute couture garment is always made for an individual client, tailored specifically for the wearer’s measurements and body stance. Considering the amount of time, money, and skill allotted to each completed piece, haute couture garments are also described as having no price tag: budget is not relevant.
