I Can See Forever

I Can See Forever

I’ve not concealed my love for Rock N Roll, that music of the people, admittedly a cultural feature of my generation.  Nietzsche said that life would hardly be worth living without music.

“Without music, life would be a mistake.. I would only believe in a God who knew how to dance.”

This song fills me with a sense of rapture whenever I hear it broadcast on the radio.  Indeed it is quite impossible to express, or better to discover who I am in isolation.  The “I” is more perfectly composed, and expressed when there is a “we.”

Is it possible to inhabit paradise, to reach that state of complete fulfillment, self completion?  I do not know, but I doubt that perfection exists in this world.   “Almost paradise,” the stroke of good fortune that one may approach paradise in company with another human, one with whom a relationship has been synthesized over time – is a remarkable outcome.

This post is for Laura.  We hold the future in our hands.
