Halloween
There is not much more to be said. The evening is one of enchantment in a neighborhood with lots of kids. The imagination of children is apt for an evening of costume dress up, and going door-to-door receiving treats from the householder at each residence. Some front yards are suitably decorated with skeletons, and other “scary”, whimsical
creatures.
These photos were taken late yesterday in the waning hours of a warm fall day. The leaves were beautiful, and the street was filled with laughter. Many moms and dads were along to supervise the youngest. Halloween at it’s best is a festival of life, of equality in play.
The final photo is of pumpkin jack-o-lanterns that are returning to Nature on the front steps. Pumpkins
serve their purpose, having reached maturity as
magnificent gourds, the occasion of a carving adventure for
a child, and finally after decorating the front of the house with their grinning, glowing faces, return to Nature from where they came.
Speaking of a gentle lion. Enjoy this fine tune…..
