Music Of Spring
Springtime is Natures spectacle of color and music. Birds sing loudly, flowers reach for the warm sun, the creeks flow with their own music and rhapsody.
Included are some photos taken over the weekend. Kraklauer Creek in the little park by our favorite Taste-of-Paris Cafe was running with wild abandon, full to the banks with the runoff accumulated from many days of rain. The quarried stone banks and wild plants hold the soil in place against the waters fury. A single bird on a tree branch above us held forth in a solo that was unfamiliar to us. No doubt the bright note has to do with mating.
Spending as usual a session at Starbucks, attempting to write something, I encountered a friend who was enjoying the sunshine with his corvette. He could not have looked me regal. He gave me permission to take a picture. King of the world!
Later in the day we walked with family members to the carnival held in the downtown of Wheaton. While walking we came upon these peonies in full bloom. There is something about natures visual purity that is worth our acknowledgment, and love.
Spring time is the advent of the carnival season. Nothing is more enchanting to a child than the sparkly, hurley-burley of a carnival. The rides especially are delightful to experience.
On our return walk I noticed some yellow iris in bloom to the side of a drive way. I didn’t think the owners of the yard minded if I got close to take this picture. As I knelt the sun ray caught the blossom so perfectly.
