Happy Birthday Myles
Yesterday I was a guest for a tenth birthday celebration. The party was a glorious event. The family affair was held in honor of Myles’s tenth birthday. Josh and Cassie were host to a house full of family and close friends. The feasting, story telling, the presents, the cake, everything was perfect to say that Myles at ten years old is a great guy, and that all of us anticipate the adventures that he will have in the years to come.
I took a few photos to memorialize the occasion. The party was centered around several acts, just like a theater production. The grand presentation of the “big”gift was a shiny BMX bike. Of course the gift opening event was wonderfully chaotic. Myles took his place in the middle of the living room, surrounded by curious family members, and friends as each present in turn was unwrapped, and then examined. Great fun.
The “cake” was beautiful. I liked the simplicity of the size of the coconut cream pie, the proportion of the two candles spelling “10”. Everyone joined to sing “Happy Birthday.” The candle flame disappeared on cue with the ending of the song.
I will not forget Myles tenth birthday. I doubt that he will either.
