Mythinformation
…the world is immense, truly,
and the way we’re doing things in this world
is only one of the many ways
we might be doing them.
Once you know this,
then you know that we’re not just alive,
we’re the bearers of life.
Anything can change.

The simple refusal
of dominant culture
(alongside the growing refusal of work, tax evasion)
can threaten supervised consumption
precisely through its autonomous, spontaneous
and hence uncontrollable aspect
-refusal to take part,
the refused myth
of political economy and hierarchy.

Well it is Wednesday. A cursory reading of this morning’s New York Times overview yielded a report of the central bank’s latest action to staunch the blood flow of inflation, which threatens to become run-a-way. Given the complexity of the factors no one knows whether we are not already bleeding out. “I consume, therefore I am,” as the prime value of our society is not working out well.
But things could get worse. The longer inflation goes on, the likelier it is to become entrenched. For example, if businesses expect costs to keep rising, they will set prices higher in anticipation — leading to a vicious cycle of increasing costs and prices. – The New York Times by German Lopez
Another element of news in the Times report, the Ukrainian army continues to make gains against the Russians in east and the south. I am heartened thus far that the invading Russian army is on its heels, unable to save itself in the face of Ukrainian determination to free their land. Also, there’s report that President Biden agreed to send four more HIMARS mobile rocket launchers.
War is an old “game” at least as viewed by the politicos, — accustomed to demand what they desire by force. In the 21st century, we see the result: wrecked cities, devastated countrysides, and more civilian deaths than can be counted.
