Plague Journal, Finding Jesus in Arkansas
Sometimes you know what is going to happen, — and yet seeing for one’s self is a shocking revelation. This video shot in Harrison, Ark. by Rob Bliss was mentioned in the NYT Thursday edition of The Morning update. I am not a consumer of Youtube videos as a general rule. Viewing takes time and I am a reader. I clicked on this one, intrigued by the idea of a White guy silently holding a BLM sign alongside a busy thoroughfare. That is what Rob Bliss, a Los Angeles based film producer did for three days with a GoPro camera strapped to his chest concealed under his t-shirt. To make the scenario even more trenchant, two days of his vigil took place at the edge of a Walmart parking lot. Walmart is the prototype merchant of small-town America.
Here is the video which speaks for itself.
