Rebel Alliance Gains Ground
The day after voting day, November 7, I have a sense of hope, some satisfaction that the Republican Governors of my state of Illinois, and that of the state to our north, Wisconsin have been replaced by Democratic governors. I do not enjoy partisan politics, as the process has devolved to that of verbal, and virtual warfare using the media. War is a condition that degrades us all. We are all suffering from political post traumatic stress disorder.
I am happy that the two governors of the Trump-party, have been replaced by individuals who appear to feel compassion for their fellow-men and women. A philanthropist in Illinois, and an educator in Wisconsin will be the chief executives of these states for the next four years. Perhaps this is a harbinger of a more humane approach to managing public affairs, the antipode to the bloodless parsing of resources for economic ends that has been degrading social stability, and comity.
For the Rebel Alliance!
