Yesterday I attended the Women’s March in Chicago. I was present at the 2017 march as well. This one might be bigger than 2017. 300,000 were reported to be in attendance. Numbers matter and numbers do not matter. Each of us, is a singular individual. We are members of the greater social whole. But we live and die individually.
Often on television and radio news I hear Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell making reference to “the American people” when officiously intoning a policy or law endorsed by the referenced group. While marching shoulder to shoulder with individuals that I’d never know personally I felt that these are whom the founders meant by “We the people of the United States.” I took these photographs.
