Magic Between You And I

Magic Between You And I

Just felt like considering the message, or better, the zeitgeist of this song.  I don’t usually mourn the passing of an actor, more than just making a mental note of their absence. With the passing of Patrick Swayze in 2009 it was different.  I felt that an artist of rare ability, a dancer, had left us.  It was as if a piece of myself had passed from the world.  Here is a clip from Dirty Dancing.   It is a tale of the essential sensual nature of human self-awareness.  The film moves me every time I view it.  Swayze’s character Johnnie embraces the circumstances with which he is presented, and with passion and style —shapes reality.

Is not the sensual glory of ourselves and of this world something to be celebrated?  I think so!
