To Save The World Today

To Save The World Today

We Are In Charge

Dance on this verge,
do not let the ruling fools of this dying world
consummate their curses.

Rise up, defy, resist!
Uncork the sacred rage!
Be and become the new culture
  of euphoric duty,
    and insurrectionary beauty.

Join the new alliance!
Needed: radical curiosity,
reverent pranks, voracious listening.

Send this spinning top of a world
in a different direction.

Live now
as we think human beings
should live.

By Rob Brezsny

Tomorrow is the 4th of July, Independence Day. I along with family members plan to view the Wheaton, Illinois parade celebration.  I wonder if this will be the last parade that we view as an extended family. The future is uncertain, and that’s our opportunity to create what we cannot know.

These words were harvested from Rob Brezsny’s email newsletter. He is a happy warrior, a wordsmith extraordinaire! Go ahead, check it out for yourself.

This is our tune for today, our lifeline, the weirdly wonderful disco beat of: I Feel Love by Donna Summer.
