Waking again to the light of a rising sun I have no complaint.
I expect today will exceed my expectations. It would be well to expect as little as possible, to have a general, somewhat vague sense of direction. Then I could respond to events, to people, with curiosity, most often with delight. Not to be pollyannish about this world and life, still one must have a foundational assumption.
To thrive requires faith in a bias for goodness, that on balance everything is seeking homeostasis, a niche of cooperation, of collaboration.
The misshapen, the demonic, toxic and destructive occurs, – as the exception, a metastasis of desire-gone-wrong. That is not the norm. The problem of evil as a professor once said to me, “only a little, causes so much destruction.”
Nonetheless the world sizzles with life!
