Yesterday we returned to the Don Earley Park in West Chicago.  A prominent feature of the park is the pond.  The pond is open to catch and release fishing.  Turtles can be seen sunning themselves close to the waters edge.  Also there are a number of bullfrogs sitting in shallow water on the blanket of decaying oak leaves.  Geese and their goslings find home at the pond too.

Our two grand children had a day never-to-be-forgotten at the pond.  Our grand daughter caught her first fish, with the assistance of her older brother.  She is displaying the soon to be released Bream here.  Added to the fish caught, were two bullfrogs captured in the big net, and two turtles.  The turtles were the grand surprise, as they are shy creatures, difficult to catch.  How awe inspiring to observe the painted pond turtles up close.

This tune  by Journey always “knocks me out.”  I love the soaring harmonies.  What an anthem to the sensual passion inscribed in all life.  Stone In Love by Journey.
