Plague Journal, Sunday, Sunday

It is Sunday.  While at Starbucks I enjoyed a conversation with an acquaintance. The conversation ranged from the Le Mans race taking place in Europe while we conversed, to Formula1 racing and Drag racing.  Both of us are gear-heads with a long standing interest in performance automobiles, engineering, and racing.  Any Sunday spent at a racetrack is better than a Sunday worship experience within the sanctuary of a church.  The conversation was a sharing of experience, a comparison of connoisseurship, most satisfying…  What is Sunday for anyway?

These two photo’s were taken recently.  Yesterday in the aftermath of a thunder storm I noted this cloud formation foreground, with rays of light streaming illuminating the edges.

The other photo is of a single blossom growing from soil between pebbles.

Ah life, glorious is it not!

Finally this tune seems just right as an anthem for a Sunday, a cover of the great tune by Three Dog Night: I’ve Never Been To Spain.

Never Been To Spain

By Three Dog Night

Well, I’ve never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it

They don’t abuse it
Never gonna lose it
I can’t refuse it

Well, I’ve never been to England
But I kinda like the Beatles
Well, I headed for Las Vegas
Only made it out to Needles

Can you feel it?
Must be near it
Feels so good
Oh, it feels so good

Well, I’ve never been to heaven
But I’ve been to Oklahoma
Oh, they tell me I was born there
But I really don’t remember

In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter?
What does it matter?

Oh, I’ve never been to Spain
But I kinda like the music
Say the ladies are insane there
And they sure know how to use it

They don’t abuse it
Never gonna lose it
I can’t refuse it, oh, oh

Well, I’ve never been to heaven
But I’ve been to Oklahoma
Well, they tell me I was born there
But I really don’t remember

In Oklahoma, not Arizona
What does it matter?
What does it matter?
