I heard more than once from a conservative-minded friend that former President Trump accomplished some good things. Perhaps. Even to concede my friend’s point, a boorish absence of style, that smacked of the cretin character of the man, obscured for me any appropriate application of policy effected by his administration.
It is better to be wrong, mistaken, but with style — than to do the right thing in an uncouth manner.
