The Possibilities Of Things
Yesterday, late afternoon at the Long Grove Coffee Shop I was discussing photography with Bonnie who works as barista at the shop. We both have interest in shooting photos and agreed that it was pleasant to converse with others about the topic.
Bonnie drew my attention to the conditions of late afternoon light outside, and to the rain that was falling steadily through the rays of the cloud shrouded sun. The view was extraordinary, not something that occurs often, a rare few minutes of visual pleasure.
The imagination is the power of the mind over the possibilities of things; but if this constitutes a certain single characteristic, it is the source not of a certain single value but of as many values as reside in the possibilities of things.
