Your Own Kind of Music
Another spring day, splendid with sunlight. Maybe I’ll go for a short walk by the river. Today is Mother’s Day and I never could repay what I owe to my mother. She’d want me to pay it forward in any case. Men are tasked to become mother and father, not limited to the socially approved male roles. We males have both male and female genetic material do we not?
I am suffering from a head cold today. Hardly able to speak, there’s pain in my throat. A body is an awesome receptor for the exterior world, an incessant interpreter of sensation, always learning, always changing. Those delicate biochemical exchanges are disrupted when attacked by microbes. Misery ensues. There are more ways for your physical self to plunge off the road of health, than keeping the single state of harmonious balance. In any case all of this is involuntary. Little can be directly done to avoid illness.
There are more ways to be wrong than right. I think there’s a lesson in that. I am on a high wire. Balance is maintained only by not looking down…
Here is an old tune that I really like. Make Your Own Kind Of Music by Cass Elliot of the Mammas and The Pappas.

Good or bad, right or wrong in today’s ever evolving society the roles of male and females are becoming more “blended” or androgynous. We have “fathers” staying home doing housework, tending to the children and being domestic while the “mothers” are bringing home the financial support of the family. Having said the above to all the Mothers, birth Mothers, adoptive Mothers, Foster Mothers, Grand Mothers raising their grand child(ren) and “Dads” acting as Mothers or performing both roles HAPPY MOTHERS DAY – Enjoy your day you deserve it!

Well expressed!
Life is a balancing act! Whether we want to admit it or not we are all on a tightrope. We fear falling off for what the consequences will be. Looking down is not the option and neither is going back, therefore we carefully sally forth hoping to get through life with a minimum of effort and a maximum amount of success/rewards.
