Monster’s Ball
Midweek.
I add another project to the “to do” list contained in one of those tablets I learned to keep years ago when I carried day to day responsibility for a company. Write it down. Memory oscillates, – how much is lost to distraction?
The entire point is to identify the truly important, that is, work within my purview, “what’s on my plate now”.
“The world” is a jumble of intersecting relationships, like the collisions of propagating waves, by pebbles simultaneously tossed into still water. How much is the effect of suppressed emotion, of unprocessed rage, of concealed insecurity? All of it? I am able to see only the surface; what lies below is the same.
Someone has starkly written:
The monster(s) aren’t under the bed.
They’re inside the room I’ve refused to enter.
As of today my country seems as if a “monster’s ball“.
Nevertheless what must I attend to today? What good and right thing must I do today?
Press ahead with construction of the “secret garden” for our grand daughter…
