Dancing Like A Fool
Thursday at Starbucks, seven baristas, each is performing his/her task. To my eye, the vibe received, a choreograph of patterns purrs.
Parked vehicles move in turn to the open drive-up window. A beverage with breakfast item ordered just a few minutes before is handed through the window to the customer.
This is an effortless alliance, a display of yin/yang the concealed light-speed efficiency of internet and binary programming, in concert with human judgment, the undefinable exercise of judgment to compose the elements of a beverage “just right”, to eye and to palate.
Thereby “world”, a vibrating dance of opposites, the giving and receiving, still turns.
Absent the “dance” – chaos.
Shall we engage with some music? This one is perfect: Real Wild Child by Iggy Pop
