Darkness At Midday
What matters in your life today?
What challenges and opportunities will I engage? I have plans in mind. Will nature endorse, go along with my intention to replace the missing bolt in the rotating blade of my Briggs and Straton powered tiller or, – not? Thunderstorms are expected for later today.
Nature, that neighborhood in the cosmos of our solar system, this earth, and it’s tides, atmospheric shifts, the collision of temperature differences, the condensation of clouds and respiration of lands and oceans, etc., etc.. Everything matters, has effect, influences my life. What all of that will amount to, respecting my life, remains to be told for today.

Yesterday, it seems there was a total eclipse of our sun… I didn’t witness the event but others did. Here is how it was described by Katrina Miller, the science reporter for the New York Times.
Our moon is about 400 times smaller than the sun, but it is also 400 times closer to Earth. This makes the two appear to be the same size from our point of view. The sun, moon and Earth are locked in a gravitational dance around one another, and when these three align, we bear witness to a solar eclipse.
